“A great hostel with lots of social activities and a fantastic location.”

The best

The hostel was in a great location and had many activities for people staying at the hostel, so it was easy to meet people if you were solo. They had a basic, but nice breakfast which was helpful in setting me up for big walking days!

To be improved

This is not a negative, but just a heads up! This hostel tends to draw a younger crowd (early 20s). People were in and out of the hostel throughout the night, but this is also pretty typical for Barcelona :) There was not a lot of privacy here -- the bunk bed were completely open, no curtains.

“It was a nice stay.”

The best

The location was really great — you can easily get anywhere, and it’s in a nice, quiet street. For breakfast, they serve cereal, milk (with different options available), and a variety of jams and bread. It’s pretty good for a light breakfast. There’s always coffee and hot water available for tea. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and they always respond to you with a warm attitude — it was really nice.

To be improved

There was only one female staff member during the day who, even though she didn’t say anything directly to my face, seemed very warm and friendly to another guest who arrived at the same time as me, giving her detailed information about all the facilities — but it felt like she didn’t even want to look at me. Maybe it was because I wear a hijab. I didn’t really let it bother me but I didn’t like it.
