Mediterraneo Real Apartamentos Turísticos

After a lot of research last year, we booked a privately owned apartment, within the Mediterrano Real complex, for a 6 week stay from the beginning of January. We glad we did! The complex is in an ideal location in Los Boliches. A 5 minute walk from the train station and just 2/3 minutes off the motorway if arriving by car. There are 2 major supermarkets within easy walking distance - Mercadona 2 minutes and SuperCor 5 minutes away. The town of Los Boliches is a 5 minute walk and the beach another 2/3 minutes away. Perfect. Our apartment, which was slightly different to the complex owned ones, was on the 4th floor and accessible by 2 sets of lifts, each set consisting of 3 lifts.The kitchen is well equipped, although it did lack a full oven. A small combi oven was provided but without detailed instructions on its use, was probably not fully utilised. The fridge/freezer was particularly excellent. The living area was comfortable and led out onto the small balcony. This had a small table and 2 chairs overlooking the pool. It had the benefit of being west facing so you could enjoy any sun that was available. The bedroom had plenty of storage and the bed was extremely comfortable. The bathroom was fine with plenty of hot water and the shower, though on the small side, had plenty of water pressure to give a good shower! In between the bedroom and bathroom was a cupboard with storage and the washer/drier. The machine was excellent though again, some written instructions would have been useful as opposed to working things out by trial and error. There is a swimming pool with loungers on site but we didn’t use these facilities. There is also a cafeteria but it wasn’t open during our stay. Reception is available 24/7 and we found Joanna particularly friendly and helpful. The apartment was exactly as described on Booking.com and we hope to book again for next year, once prices are known. It is managed by a company on behalf of the actual owners, and communication with them was fine.

The Pool area is lovely ad its our second time there. A bit disappointed that the snack kiosk was not open which we had two years ago. Rooms are very clean, a little dated but perfect for what we needed.

Well equiped apartments in a great location with friendly staff. Only downside was that a few more sombrillas around the pool area would be welcome.

I wanted to give this apartment block a 5 but that didn’t come up. Just had a week here. Absolutely nothing negative to say at all. Great location for us, we don’t really interact with staff as we are beach people but those we did interact with were just lovely from reception to cleaners. The apartment was so spacious. We had two pillows each which I find unusual as normally we have to ask for a second one. Dishwasher and washing machine which is unusual for a three star, we didn’t use them as A) I don’t go on holiday to wash although I can see the benefits if you are there for two weeks plus or you have a family B) we never used enough crockery/cutlery to warrant using the dishwasher doesn’t take much to wash a coffee mug out and we eat out. All in all I loved the place and would have no hesitation in going back there.

Back from our first visit to Fuengirola and a five night stay at the Mediterraneo Real Apartments. They are very spacious, modern and spotlessly clean and would certainly recommend and say it is one of the best self catering apartments we have stayed in. I would say the only negative would be the relatively small balcony space but no great issue. The pool area is pleasant enough without being spectacular and we managed to get sunbeds each day we went to the pool. The location is in a quiet part of the Los Boliches suburb and has a Mercadona Supermarket 2 minutes away. The beach front is about 10-15 minutes walk down the road and through the lovely tree lined back streets of Los Boliches where you can find numerous Bars and Restaurants. The front goes on for a few miles with lots of choice. We stayed at the Los Boliches end as it was ideal for us. Ten minutes away in a cab is the Miramar Shopping Centre which is worth a trip if wanting some retail therapy. All ,in all a great stay and we would definitely return to the resort and these apartments.
