“Used to be a 10/10 now a 5/10 such a shame”
Stayed here 13 years ago with a 4 year old child it was great for all ages then. Good now for younger children.
Mini bus was not working so not as advertised. 4 seat car only running not good enough when advertised otherwise. People were queing and couldnt get anywhere. Really poor facilities/activities for teenagers. Needs a massive rethink from the entertainment staff to include entertainment for all. One swimming pool is not enough for the amount of people staying at the complex. Not sure why the second pool was removed. Enjoyed the stay overall but nothing like it used to be a real shame. Evening entertainment was poor until our last night.
“Great base if you have a young family and a car”
I was tempted to give 3 stars but feel it would be a little unfair as better communications could make you aware before you go and that may be TUI’s fault? Positives Rooms are modern, clean and spacious. Children’s splash area looks brilliant Lifeguard and entertainment staff work hard and are friendly Food is delicious. Drinks also very good for All Inclusive. Downsides Main pool is shallow. It is very difficult to swim in it due to depth and then number of people. Pizza resturant not included. TUI website makes it sound like it. Location. It was too hot to walk the 30 mins in to Tossa. Hotel shuttle bus isn’t that frequent. Taxis expensive (10-14 euros) for the short trip. Hotel need to run the shuttle more frequently and provide bike hire. On one day of our 4 night stay the hotel was so busy that we had to queue 20 ins to get in to breakfast. Snack bar is hidden away and sparse. You can order a hamburger but it took us a while to even know this, no menu??
“First family holiday”
We came as a family of 4 our first holiday with 2 babies under 2, The apartment was spacious and modern had everything we needed provided travel cott and room cleaned daily, all the staff are welcoming, happy and helpful, the splash park, pool, play ground and football pitch is amazing for the kids was better than any 5 star hotel I've stayed at, the food was always fresh something different daily only downfall is we thought the pizza was part of the all inclusive but it wasn't, the drinks was any spirits, but a limited amount to 6 cocktails, also San Miguel and sangria on draught, the entertainment was spot on through out the day kids club, water exercise, music and competitions also the night entertainment could of started earlier but they did amazing job, also they run a bus from the hotel to the town for free but would be better if had a on site shop for essentials, cigs, alcohol, snacks but would definitely recommend to family and friends amazing week away making memories. 🌞 ✌️♥️🤟✌️
“Disappointed and all inclusive options are minimal.”
We paid for an all inclusive experience, but what we essentially received was full board and a hotel that was falsely advertised. Upon our arrival we were told you could get hot snacks of hotdogs, burgers and chips. Which we got that day. However the following day when we went to get said hot snacks we were rudely told they don’t do that? Despite it saying so on the website!? Instead we were told there was ham, cheese and croissants. Never have we been to an all inclusive with such limited snacks. The hotel seemed to change their mind throughout our stay. As we were also then told no all inclusive drinks before 11am. Again despite the website saying 10am! Also, it is very unclear that there are extra charges. The pizzeria is not part of the all inclusive, this is not very clear on the website and we weren’t the only guests that were disappointed by this. The restaurant didn’t seem able to manage the amount of guests they had with large queues and running out of food. The WiFi does not reach the range of the full room, only about 3 foot in from the door. It is not clear from the website how remote the hotel actually is, there are no shops close. It is actually located on what could only be described as a lay-by on the side of a bypass. It takes around 40-50mins to talk into town! The hotel is advertised on English travel agent sites, with entertainment included in the package. However the entertainment was only really catered towards the Spanish speaking hotel guests. I will add attachments of the hotels website at the time of our visit.
“WORSE HOLIDAY, no entertainment for kids”
Currently here, worse holiday I have ever been to. Aircon doesn’t work, no entertainment for the kids 21:07 at night and not been one thing happen. Been told by tui that pizza included but it’s not. They change the all inclusive times. At first it was 10, then its changed to 11 in the morning to get a drink. I do advise people not to come here. In middle of no where, on a motorway type road. Says 15 mins from beach, that’s probably 15 mins drive.
“Highly recommended for families with young children”
I went here with my 2 year old son and we had a great time. This place is brilliant for kids. They have 2 splash areas, a kids pool with slides and a separate paddling pool. About half of the main pool is also shallow enough for young kids. Great for keeping them entertained. The resort itself is quite small but it has a lot of facilities for its size. Our apartment was on the top (second) floor on the side of the complex that did not have a lift. I had asked for a ground floor room due to the logistics of carrying bags as well as a buggy and toddler so was a bit disappointed to find when I got there that I hadn’t at least been given a room on the side with a lift. I couldn’t work out a way of getting bags up 2 fights of stairs without leaving my son at the bottom but the staff were helpful in changing my room over to one on the side with a lift. Apparently the only rooms available to Tui travellers are too floor rooms so there was no way to have a ground floor one, but that was fine with the availability of a lift. The staff also helped me out hugely in getting me into my room a bit earlier than the normal 2pm check in time so that I could get my over-tired toddler down for a nap. We had a one bedroom apartment but the bedroom has no air con so it wasn’t really usable as a separate bedroom without leaving the door open and cracking up the air con in the main room. All staff we encountered were friendly and went out of their way to ensure guests were looked after. The lifeguard in particular was always really friendly and made a point to say hi to my toddler whenever we saw him. The restaurant is small but we never had a problem getting in. Meal times are a little late in my view considering the resort is aimed at children. Lunch didn’t start until 1pm and dinner 7.30pm. The food was decent and always well stocked. The options in the snack bar for all inclusive were really limited and always the same (some cakes, cheese, ham and crackers), but it didn’t really matter as you don’t really need the snacks as well as breakfast, lunch and dinner. The bar offered cocktails but all but a couple were unavailable which was disappointing. The entertainment could be better but the entertainment team worked hard. My son loved Luciana in particular and got excited whenever he saw her. There were games for kids (from all our 5 years plus I’d say) and adults in the day. It would have been great if they had a kids’ disco every night as they didn’t have much other entertainment for young kids but they only had one twice in the week we were there. The kids’ disco also started late - at 8.35pm. It would be great if they had something a little earlier for younger children. Entertainment then seemed to be games show related, with one night where they had outside entertainment (a singer), although we didn’t see much of this entertainment as it didn’t start til around 9.30pm. The resort is about a 30 minute walk from Tossa. The hotel offers a free shuttle bus although it only runs every 1.5 hours ish and not at all between around 11.30 and 4.15. It would be great for it to run a bit more regularly but I’m not complaining as we still made good use of it and we’re grateful that the hotel offered it at all. It only carries 8 people but the driver will keep going backwards and forwards to pick people up as needed. It drops you at the bus station, which is just a short walk from the beach, etc. All in all, we loved our stay here and would happily go back. I would recommend this place for anyone with children.
