“Close to transport with easy parking in the surrounding streets. Nice swimming pool. The room was adequate but the mattress was too soft and the bed really needed fitted sheets because the bottom sheet kept coming off because the mattress tends to move around on the base. · Cons: I booked for a week at first because I wasn't sure if the location would work for me and it did and so I booked another 13 days giving a total of 20 days for my stay. Mi Campus have a policy of only changing the sheets and towels after 15 days.. They didn't change the sheets when I extended my stay and when I asked them four times if I could have clean sheets and towels after 15 days they said that I had only been in the room for 8 days and refused. This was because they only counted my second reservation. When I pointed out that I had a prior 7 days in the room they agreed to change the sheets and towels but never did even though I kept asking them to do it. I asked four times. At the end my towels stank and the sheets were dirty after 20 days without cleaning. This is unacceptable.”

“Perfect place, especially if you main destination is University”

The best

As I traveled for work with Alicante University, this place was probably the best in terms of location, value and facilities. Also staying in San Vicent rather than Alicante during Hogeiras was another good thing, as you are really away of all the noises that are 24 hours in the city. Initially booked this place for 9 nights just in case I will not like the place but at the end booked additional nights directly with property for the whole period of my work. The place is three years old, which means that everything is relatively new and working without issues. Lots of extras are available as well, like gym, poll, laundry. Breakfast can be added at additional 4 EUR but there are some strange policies regarding omelette (you should negotiate that with reception). For those wishing to spend more time on the city or at a seafront the location may not be the best, but in terms of value for money I think no other place would beat this one. It is only a 30 min. journey to Alicante by tram or bus and with a transfer st MARQ-Castillo to tram routes 1, 3 or 4 all nice beaches are available within the same ticket.

Room was not perfectly clean and then you have to take care as there is no room service irrespective of the length of stay. Not a big deal as it takes not more than 5 min. to swipe the floor. Soap and shampoo are provided only for one night. My room had a poll view, which was nice in terms of view but was not always nice in terms of sleep as some guests used the pool during the night and made significant noise. However, reception deals with these cases quickly (the only problem - you need to inform them).

“Student dorms renting studios for auxiliary income”

I stayed at the Micampus Alicante since it was the most affordable option in high season Alicante and I had a car for business travel outside the city. Lots of university accommodation providers rent the dorms when students are away for the summer so this is what Micampus is. The plus side is that the rooms are meant for someone to be living in them full time, hence they are slightly more spacious than your average hotel room and have amenities like kitchen, fridge, etc.

The location is in the middle of nowhere. There is nothing around, but my room faced a busy road which had loud traffic all night. Student accommodation is the most exploitative type of real estate (I am a professional) and the quality is such that it felt all the same as if sleeping on the side of the road. Another guest I met was also complaining that they couldn't sleep at night, because of the excessive noise from traffic. My room was also a bit dirty with hair on the bathroom floor. There was one satchel of toiletries, good for half a shower, but no soap. Also, student dorms don't offer pillows as a standard, so this one also doesn't when it doubles as a hotel for some auxiliary income in the summer. Instead, there is some cloth sack on the bed which is an inch thick. Really uncomfortable sleep, especially combined with the traffic noise.
