“Excellent hotel experience”

The best

We stayed for 3 nights and have to admit I would not go elsewhere next time either. Location is just perfect at Diagonal metro station, easy to reach the big tourist monuments. Check-in was smooth and unexpectedly early due to our morning flight. The reception area, the room etc has it's unique style, different from the hotel chains'. The receptionists were very kind, the breakfast is wonderful, full of local high quality salami, cheese, vegetable, tortilla etc. Nice gesture is the wine and crackers offered in the lobby area to start the evening with. Room was very clean and furnished with style. Totally recommended for those who would avoid the usual big hotel crowd and prefer a unique stay in the heart of Barcelona.

“Appreciated the free wine and coffee area. The terrace area looked beautiful. Beds were big and comfy. However the fan in our bathroom didn't work. Aircon was magnificent. Main concierge of hotel was friendly and a great help. · Cons: Fan in bathroom was broken. We told staff and they were apologetic and said they would fix it.”

“Clean, Convenient and a Good Value”

We enjoyed our 4-day stay at the Mihlton. The hotel was close to a metro stop and a convenient walk to many of the tourist sites in Barcelona (Gaudí houses, La Rambla, etc.). We had a front room with a balcony. The street noise was a little loud, but it didn't keep us from having a good night's sleep. The hotel itself was very quiet. The room was on the small side, but adequate. I would personally classify it as more of an upscale pension hotel, rather than a Boutique B & B. It's actually 2 floors of a building which houses other businesses. The daily continental breakfast was fresh and offered plenty of variety. For Barcelona, this hotel is a good value.

“Comfortable stay with great location. Just a note to the triple room bathroom”

-Location. Casa Mila and Batllo are within walking distance and metro station is at the end of the same block. -Offers free and unlimited coffee, wine, and water. Cold water saved me from the heat and is always the first thing I go after coming back to the hotel each day -Bed and pillows are comfortable -Water pressure and heating power in the shower is great. 3 people showers consecutively won’t run out any hot water. -Stuff are nice and friendly -Backyard and breakfast area are nice and cozy.

-I think I need to put a note here for anyone who’s booking a triple room to note. One of the triple rooms bathroom is separated from the bedroom itself. Though you do get to have the whole bathroom to yourself and has a key lock to it, it is separated from your bedroom and opposite to the hallway. Your bedroom opens to the reception desk. So privacy will be an issue. The separate bathroom is not clearly stated in the information site as we finalized the booking or before our arrival so it came as a surprise. You don’t wanna show anyone you are naked or not properly dressed while you go from your room to the bathroom. And if you are like me, locking the bathroom when you don’t need it for a peace of mind, be prepared to get up in the middle of the night and find the keys to unlock your room door and then unlock the bathroom door to use the bathroom and lock both before you get back on your bed. Also not having the bathroom in the same room makes the room a bit crowded. If you are not booking a triple, I will assure you that you will have a wonderful experience. But if you are booking a triple, the inconvenience and privacy concerns might bother you if you got bad luck and got our room. -There’s no ventilation in the bathroom besides a window opens inward to the buildings staircases. You definitely don’t want to open them while you are showering, privacy issue again. And unfortunately it will make the bathroom steamy and soaking wet. -I found a hair on the bed -I wish there’s napkin/tissue box and hand/body lotion offered in the room
