“The balcony is what makes it special”

We had a wonderful stay, and the highlight was definitely the balcony—it made the experience truly special. The view is unbeatable, especially the spectacular sunsets, which were simply breathtaking. The flat is small but well-equipped with everything we needed. It’s important to note that it’s not a one-bedroom; it’s a studio, as all amenities are in one room. Nevertheless, it was comfortable, and the view more than made up for the compact space. The location is fantastic—very close to everything and right opposite the Hard Rock Hotel, which had a lot going on every night. There are also several great restaurants nearby, many of which are open to non-guests, so there’s plenty to explore. The pool was clean and well-maintained. However, there are a few things to keep in mind. Parking can be an issue, and we were told you need to book it many months in advance. We also experienced several power cuts, though this affected the entire building, so it’s not something the owner could control. The only real negative was an unpleasant smell from the sink, which was quite strong at times. Overall, we had a great experience and would recommend this place for its unbeatable view and convenient location.

The view from the balcony was exactly as per the photo on the Booking .com website - and the balcony itself, furnished, was undoubtedly the high spot of the accommodation. Unfortunately, on the west side of the block, you get no sun until about 1530. It was nice that some essential groceries had been left by previous occupants. The small supermarket next door was a godsend, as was the small Indian restaurant.

To be improved

The apartment itself is rather small. Lighting was poor. Two of the glasses were cracked. Only one toilet roll and no spare bin liners for an 11 day stay? Remember to take (or buy) your own pool towels. The trash had to be taken to a waste facility outside the apartment which was packed to overflowing - no separate recycling bins - I was told to take my recycling to the bins 100m up the road. I commented on this to the hosts but received no reply. The bed had a very soft topper which was unsuitable for my wife who has a back problem - she was virtually unable to walk each morning so we moved to a different hotel after 5 days, just utilising the apartment for evening sun on the balcony.

The best

The view was absolutely spectacular! We watched the sun setting over the ocean from our balcony every evening. The bed was comfortable, good mattress. The apartment was bright and very clean. The complex was also very clean and orderly. Cleaned and swept every day. Monia, our host, was very efficient and responded immediately with any requests. An extra bonus was netflix and you tube, as well as many German channels on the TV.

To be improved

A kettle to boil water would have been good but it was ok as we used a saucepan. I can't really fault it, everything was great. 😊
