“Madrid is a great city”
The best

It’s in a great location and very safe and secure. There’s a great restaurant and supermarket not far away and there’s also a train stop too. All very handy. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The place was very clean. Breakfasts were lovely Our host Jill is a very interesting person having travelled extensively.

To be improved

The shower wasn’t really up to much . A kettle in the room with tea and coffee would have been so much better.

“Comfortable, energising and a lovely sanctuary!”
The best

From the moment I walked in, I felt at home. The room (and the entire apartment) is so tastefully decorated with artwork and lovely furniture. It is a very welcoming and positive space. There is also a flourishing herb garden on the balcony - the place is so energising and lovely, away from the noise of the city. Jill is very attentive, generous and positive and has a wealth of experience to share from her life and travels. She was a delight to speak to and has a wonderful collection of art, and she shares the stories behind them. She took great interest in making sure I was comfortable. She also shared various options on how best to reach the place as I was arriving late in the night. I was in Madrid to attend Flamenco classes and had aches in my feet after dancing for hours each day, Jill very kindly shared some massage techniques with me that helped relieve my pain. She is a very thoughtful host. The breakfast was really excellent! Jill was so thoughtful and attentive, she made sure to add a personal touch (after finding out I like mint, she added mint leaves decoration to my breakfast platter). I would love to return and stay for longer!
