To be improved

Very poor choice of restaurants in the area. You are living wall to wall with neighbors, some of them are really loud - dog barks half of the night, etc.

The area is nice. Fellow holiday makers generally seemed to be Spanish. No loutish brits - a massive plus point in our opinion. Pool area quiet enough every day with no Sun lounger hogging (might be because there were few or no brits 🤣). Beds and pillows really very comfortable indeed. In fact, exceptionally comfortable and I am fussy. Big fridge / freezer, excellent kitchen area with all the equipment you could want. Apartment plenty big enough, lots of room and very clean and inviting. Two bathrooms upstairs, one toilet downstairs _ perfect. Some basics like oil, salt, herbs and spices were left in the kitchen - always a bonus and when staying for several weeks, the benefit of a washing machine and dishwasher were appreciated. Except for the last 3 nights our neighbours were really quiet too. We appreciated the extra set of keys as this place is like Fort Knox with locking gates everywhere. A stones throw from the sea, a beautiful lagoon for snorkelling 5 minutes to the right and the harbour (leading to the pancake cafe and Alecrim restaurant - both worth a visit) about 15 minutes walk to the left. Planes coming in to land so close you can see them but actually you just get used to them, they are not as loud as you think they might be. We enjoyed watching them tbh. Overall I definitely recommend this apartment complex. My negatives are really only minor points and I would happily stay here again.

A fan or two would have been great (there is no aircon), Especially in the kitchen area as flies just descend the moment you start cooking. A fan would not only move air around but keep them off the food preparation area. The master bathroom shower has dual aspect windows with no blinds. The whole complex can watch you wash 🫣. We taped trash bags to the windows to give us privacy so not a big deal really (thank goodness there were spare trash bags and parcel tape in the apartment). The drain on the patio area became very smelly - but I flushed it with hot water and bleach and that seemed to sort it. We were there for over 2 weeks so I don’t think it’s worth complaining about as it’s obviously not a great build design but easily remedied. The apartments are very close together (think duplex - and with no aircon you have to keep all doors and windows open in July / August at night, so it’s luck of the draw about noise levels from your neighbours. On our last 3 nights we had new neighbours who were shouting very loudly on their patio after midnight. To be fair, they stopped when I complained directly to them but then I was up all night after that. On the third night I could hear one vomiting after he had clearly been partying too hard elsewhere 🫣🤣. There is not a lot of air flow and the apartment in HOT in July / August.

The house has been completely renovated. Very well equipped. Very comfortable beds. A quiet area right next to the ocean. The host responded quickly to all our requests. The only disadventage of the house is the built-in terrace with no view.

To be improved

One set of keys makes life very difficult if family members have different plans. A second set of keys is necessary.
