“Beautiful setting and access road leading to a memorable place to stay.”

Very quiet location at the end of the road. Superb scenery and road up to the hotel. Excellent parking for our motorbikes outside the reception door. Food is rustic, but tasty. Don’t expect Michelin stars, but do expect wholesome tasty meals. Church attached is magnificent, museum very good. Don’t expect any much nightlife.

Stunning location and wonderful welcome. The monastery is perched on a hill and looks awesome as you approach. The welcome From the Young gentleman on reception was really wonderful, the room was comfortable but not special, dinner and breakfast were fine but again not special, but all in all it was amazing value and very pleasurable stay.

We had an absolutely fabulous stay! The only downside was we wished we could have stayed longer. We certainly will be back and for a longer stay. We had a warm welcome and couldn’t have been looked after any better, from check-in to check-out. Dinner was delicious, the wine too. Breakfast was perfect. The young man at the little bar on the grounds was charming and the gentleman in the Monastery shop was kind and welcoming. Our room overlooked the front into the mountains, beautiful view. The room was absolutely spotless and the shower was warm and had powerful (you don’t find that in many places). The museum was interesting, the church and its mosaics beautifully and the whole monastery gives you this wonderful feeling of peace. Thank you to All from Us both.
