It was ok, nothing special. Smelt a bit stale and the decor looks tired and has seen better days. But it was clean and dry.

Always good. always friendly and helpful. Good location.

Spacious room

Firstly I should point out that staff went out of their way to make a bad situation better. We arrived I'm the middle of a heatwave. We discovered there was no air-conditioning or fan in the room. This is a booking.com problem. I used the filters to specify air-conditioning but somewhere in the process it was dropped without me spotting it. First impression of the room - oh dear. We could smell the shower curtain as soon as we opened the door. Rank. Staff gave us another room. The bathroom was miniscule. The shower curtain smelled rank We had a sleepless night. Noise from the street outside and also other guests slamming doors kept us awake. Staff gave us another room the following day. Again the noise and heat deprived us of sleep. Never again. I want to stress that staff were helpful, but their hands are tied. The hotel is old. I'"m sure it has its place but not for me.
