Montgo Villa

Unfortunately the villa was extremely dirty I only hope I can post all my pics to make you aware. We contacted the owner from arrival as shocked at conditions and gave benefit of the doubt that he was probably paying someone for this…we sent pictures etc and received with many apologies and promises to fix broken handles, install an oven that we had to wait for delivery, clean the pool but to no avail. Having now read all the reviews and Belens responses please don’t make the same mistake we did, believe the recent negative reviews! And yes two loungers is not enough especially with one broken and plenty of space to accommodate more for a villa this size. It may be a newish build however it is very tired unkept and unmaintained. Blue mould in showers, main shower heads not working, peeling cabinet units, many broken doors leaving us for over two days without access to clothing and hygiene products. One one occasion during the night a glass panel gave way in the kitchen door which the owner was notified of.. again sent video evidence which seem like a hairpin type single nail holding it in place. We had became worried someone could get hurt yet the owner seemed unconcerned and said “he won’t charge us” All walls badly scuffed everywhere made its appearance very poor, and to top it off badly stained mattresses and sitting cushions. Tv unit even propped up with bricks and beds propped up with supports to list only a few. The villa would have been perfect with some attention, lick of paint and basic cleaning! We did buy items to clean and especially for the pool area but unfortunately it became unusable the last 5 days without a working filter. On arrival we had been informed we had to dispose of our own rubbish which was a 30min round trip walk to skips. For a villa accommodating 10 people this had to be a daily event, with the heatwave (32 each day)it was hard going even for those of us who enjoy a hike up a climb.

Only 2 sun beds in a villa that can accommodate 6/8 people. Oven not working BBQ needs replacing Another pillow each would have been ideal.

The pool hadn’t been cleaned for quite a while , there wasn’t enough sunbeds , the house needed a bit of refreshing. The pool wasn’t heated

Everything was really good. If only we had wanted a gas grill. As for the charcoal grill, we didn't want to start cooking.

There is a couple of things that need attention too, first is the pool itself it looks like it hasn’t had a deep clean for a while, on the tiles was like a green algae that came off with your finger nail, one of the tiles on the pool deck was broken and the hole was big enough to hurt someone so we put the parasol over it. The showers were a bit dirty and could do with a bit TLC especially around the bottom of the shower screen, also there was one towel per person so when you needed a clean one we had to wash them in the morning and hope they were dry before the evening so maybe 2 towels each would be good
