Could do with air conditioning in the rooms, they were extremely warm . We were in the middle of a heatwave so may be more comfortable at other times

The bathroom was dirty. There was grime on the tiles and hair on the toilet seat and floor. The shower was very small and uncomfortable. We could hear the shower from the other rooms, people talking and slamming doors.

Outstanding location. You can walk to downtown Bilbao, there are some restaurants and Tavernas in the vicinity.

To be improved

It has no AC which push you to leave the windows wide open during summer. This allows mosquitoes to pour in. We killed more than 5 the first night. They have a real issue with mosquitoes because you can see there are blood stains on the ceiling and walls.

Loved our overnight stay at moon hostel. Needed a no frills sleep option as our flight got in late. Our room was basic but very clean. The automated check in process was easy and efficient. Beds were comfortable and clean (a little soft but that is to my liking). Lovely hot shower. Towels and sanitary products available. Liked the neighbourhood. Some bars and inexpensive food options close by. Half hour walk from our airport drop off bus (last stop). I will very definitely look to book moon hostel again. No contact with staff as the automated processes worked perfectly. We didn’t use any hostel facilities so can’t really comment on those but other folk seemed to be having their needs met in communal spaces. Very happy with our stay.
