“At first a bit unusual with very little personal contact at check-in/check-out but all worked perfectly well. Every room has its own garage with electric gate. Food was lovely and reasonably priced (is served through a little hatch in the cupboard). Large, comfortable bed and very easy to reach from the motorway, but far enough away to avoid traffic noise. Wifi worked well. Very good stopover and we plan call in there again. What3word location: ///culprit.upstairs.exec · Cons: All fine, no dislikes!”

You check in,you park your car in the garage which has a door that leads into your room - easy. The room service is great.

To be improved

I would prefer a shower curtain instead of the glass screen. The shower water made the floor very wet.

“Perfect one-night layover with secure garage parking, a refreshing shower, and a restful sleep.”
The best

For a 1 night stop I can highly recommend Motel Emporio. The room is spacious and clean; one sleeps very well due to the king size bed with a comfortable mattress and blockout curtains. Being close to the highway is a bonus as it is so easy to get to and from the motel. Despite being close to the highway one does not hear any noise as there are layers of dense hedges plus double glazed windows. Being able to park your car in its own private garage is an added bonus.

I understand this may be a personal preference, but not encountering any staff members during my stay felt impersonal. Being communicated with solely through a metal box and hatch in the bedroom was unsettling and created an unwelcoming atmosphere. I was aware that the receptionist could see us, but we could not see her. Just a voice and a metal box to put your credit card in and pay. There was black mould in the shower
