“A Disappointing Stay Far Below Expectations”
I’ve traveled quite a lot and stayed in many different types of places, and I always try to approach new accommodations with an open mind. This was our fifth time in Fuerteventura. On all previous trips, we stayed in private apartments or houses. This was the first time we booked a hotel on the island, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing travel experiences we’ve had. Our booking included breakfast and dinner (half-pension), but only when we checked in were we told that men are required to wear long trousers at dinner. This was never mentioned at the time of booking. It’s the kind of thing that should absolutely be communicated in advance—especially considering this is a beach destination, not a luxury resort. We didn’t bring anything suitable, and we were here for a relaxed beach holiday. Because of this, we didn’t have a single dinner at the hotel. The breakfast the next morning didn’t improve things. It was bland, outdated, and reminded me of something you’d find in the 80s. There was no real variety and nothing felt fresh. Worse still, my wife ended up with food poisoning after eating breakfast at the hotel. She had stomach cramps, diarrhea, fever, and chills. The symptoms began just a few hours later and lasted for several days, making it really hard for her to enjoy the trip or even rest properly. I told the hotel staff what happened, thinking they would at least check the food at the buffet or show some concern. Instead, I was met with total indifference. One receptionist even suggested my wife got sick from somewhere else, which is ridiculous because she had only eaten at the hotel. The complete lack of accountability or basic empathy was very disappointing. After explaining that we didn’t feel safe eating at the hotel anymore and wouldn’t be using the meals included in our booking, I asked if we could get a partial refund for the dinners. The answer was a flat-out no. “There’s nothing we can do.
“Exceptional”
It’s the second time we stayed in the hotel and it became even better from the last year! More pleasant details in the room - as hats, wine , free safe , more surprises for kids , the food is very various and delicious!
The quality of wine and cava in the restaurant could be better
“Not for a quiet and relaxing vacation. The bar music was just incredibly loud in your room.”
The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The rooms were tidy and clean.
The noise. It was so loud. I came for a relaxing vacation but the bar music was drowning into my room at incredibly high volumes. I literally did not sleep for 5 nights. You could drown it out with the air-conditioning which was barely making a difference but that was equally loud. Also no escaping from the music except when you sat on the terrace. Music at breakfast, at the pool, at dinner. Music everywhere. And the food was very German and bad. Breakfast was ok but Goulash and Brussel sprouts at dinner in 20 degrees is not to my taste.
“Very nice and convinient place to stay especially for family.”
The hotel is located in very convinient place, it’s close to the beach and shops. It’s very comfortable place to stay, there is the spa with swimming pool and all the treatments, outdoor pool and good reataurant. We reserved the stay which included the breakfast and dinner but we were surprised that for the dinner they don’t offer anything to drink e.g. tea, water. The staff is very nice but they don’t speak English which is also a disadvantage.
“Very good hotel beside a breathtaking and vast beach.”
Very professional and accommodating hotel. Quietest pool side area I’ve experienced in years and I really appreciated the attitude of the other guests to respect other people. Genuinely relaxing atmosphere.
