“Welcome to the sleazy, noisy disco/spaceship with suicide glass stairs”
I liked the neighborhood
Booking.com should drop this place. Absolutely the worst place we've booked through Booking.com. First, our credit cards wouldn't go through. Then MyCity wouldn't open the door to their office so I could get my keys. I had to insist and insist that I was a legit customer coming to get my keys. They gave us directions to the place through a link... that didn't work. When we finally got in, we discovered the .... SUICIDE STEPS. Literally a glass staircase that gave you vertigo. Worse, it had no reachable handrail at the top. The top of the stairs was so close to the place where you have to pass through to the kitchen that you had to focus on the floor to make sure you didn't accidentally fall down the steps. Even our dog refused to use these steps. I can't imagine any city planning department approving this place safety-wise. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Let's go on to the break-a-leg shower-tub enclosure. To get in was literally a hurdle. Not only was it scary to get in and out, but I was afraid I'd slip inside the jacuzzi/shower. By the way, the jacuzzi water jets didn't work. The whole place looked like a disco/sleazy lovers getaway/spaceship. Walls literally covered with glass (including broken glass right where the bed meets the wall. I also got a message from them asking how we would like to have the bed prepared. What? It was only after we got there that we realized the sofa bed had no sheets, pillows or blankets. The lighting was definitely disco ahoy. Could it get any worse? YES it could. Turns out we were literally next to not one, but TWO sports bars. So much for peace and quiet. A few days into our stay, they asked us if we had a dog. Yes of course we had a dog. I had sent out a message saying we had a dog. They said they never got the message. I can't believe that Booking.com would include this lodging on their list of places. I actually considered not using Booking.com ever again.
