“A warm and welcoming stay, even if the setup was different from what we expected”

Marta is a very interesting person, who generously shares her love and worries about guests 😊 we stayed there very comfortable, it’s a pity we had not enough time to spend more evenings together.

To be improved

We were initially surprised to find out that we were staying in a small private room rather than having the entire apartment to ourselves, especially since the room did not have its own lock. It seems we may have misunderstood or overlooked this detail in the listing description, which could have been our mistake. However, Marta’s warmth and kindness immediately made us feel at ease and safe. Her welcoming attitude created a trusting atmosphere, and we ended up having a very pleasant stay.

Beautiful location in front of Samil Beach

To be improved

We found it far from Vigo given that we were doing the Camino but Marta was kind enough to drive to Vigo to pick up our friends who were doing the walk with us. She also gave us some tips for avoiding the main road.

The best

We stayed here on the Camino Portugues and Marta was an amazing host. She was so kind and thoughtful and we had lots of fun chatting to her and cuddling her dog India. She's walked three caminos so knows all about the trail and she made us really delicious chicken paella - definitely try this if you can! I'd definitely stay here again if we were in the area. If you're doing the camino absolutely book it - it's such a special experience. Very comfy bed and excellent shower with everything you need in there. Just a few steps from a lovely white sand beach and she let us borrow beach towels.

The best

Marta is a brilliant, helpful and interesting host. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting with her. When asked for a restaurant recommendation, she made an excellent recommendation, then phoned and booked it for us. The restaurant was sublime. We had a very comfortable stay and a good breakfast.

To be improved

Beware of following the Sat Nav. It takes you to the rear of the property and an unsuitable road. There is plenty of parking at the front overlooking the beach.
