The best

The former "palacio", now hotel and restaurant, is a perfect mix of comfort and history, situated in a truly beautiful location with stunning views towards the mountain peaks. Our room was very comfortable, spacious and peaceful. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the food was delicious. The breakfast was really outstanding, with freshly prepared orange juice, fruit salad, cakes, pastries meats, cheeses, homemade preserves, all served to our table. There were so many terraces to choose from to sit outside with a drink - or even breakfast! There was even a wonderful seating area under a former grain store (i.e. a typical Asturian farm buiding on stone "legs"). Sounds odd, but it is the perfect place to shelter from rain or sun. Electric bikes were available, and good walks possible from the door. The grounds are beautiful, the views even better, and I wish we had been able to book more than one night. We'll be back!

“A tranquil haven in wonderful mountain scenery, offering comfortable rooms and great food.”

The hotel is in a stunning location, with long views of green mountains stretching in to the distance on all sides. The sound of running water from nearby streams, the tinkle of cow bells and the occasional cries of eagles and ravens added to the glorious location and sense of tranquility. Lovely gardens and terraces provided various options for sitting out with a good book, or to enjoy a drink. The food was exceptional, both for dinner and for breakfast, while the staff were very welcoming and created a fantastic, restful atmosphere. If only we could have stayed longer…

There was nothing we didn’t like. This is a magical place and we wouldn’t want anything to be changed.
