From the moment we arrived and were warmly welcomed by our host Silvia, we enjoyed our 6 week stay in this spacious, comfortable and homely apartment. Silvia answered any messages immediately and checked regularly to see that we had everything we needed. The apartment is on the first floor of a traditional style Spanish house divided into three apartments, owned by the hosts Silvia and Manuel - whose wonderful artwork is displayed throughout the apartment. The street is a quiet one in the old town and yet only minutes away from the Balcon and you’re spoilt for choice with the many bars, cafés and restaurants just a stone’s throw away. The apartment itself is well equipped, the bed was so comfortable we slept like logs. The bedroom is at the rear of the property and is very quiet. In the morning the sun shines into the living room at the front until early afternoon so it’s nice to sit on the little juliet balcony and watch the people passing by. In the afternoon the private terrace at the back is a real sun trap.

To be improved

Nothing at all, it was great. (There are a flight of stairs to the first floor which might be a problem for someone with poor mobility.)

The hot water gas bottle ran out and the owner eventually came to connect it. The water heater itself looked suspiciously faulty and proved to be and would not light, hence the owner needing to come to the property. When the toaster was used, the mains were tripped. The terrace was lovely but could not be used because of the strong smell of marijuana from neighbours. Strangely, early on Saturday morning we were woken up by very loud noises of machines and builders shouting at each other. Other than that, I the property was well located, comfortable and well appointed.
