“Comfy, central & characteristic apartment”

The best

This was a perfect location and offered excellent value, especially with three bedrooms—ideal for giving my teenage children their own space. Contrary to one of the reviews, all the rooms had air conditioning, which was a huge plus. The SMEG appliance is both an oven and a microwave, which was really convenient. The beds were comfortable, and the tasteful décor, along with some original features, gave the apartment more character than a typical rental.

“Great location and beautiful apartment with a few quirks to take into account.”

The best

Terrific location. Very central. I felt safe and secure in the apartment. The apartment itself was lovely and nicely furnished. It wasn't overly big, but that's not important when you are not spending a great deal of time there. The host was really lovely and responsive when we had an additional request. overall, we really enjoyed our stay there and would go back again.

To be improved

It lacked a microwave and a hot water tap in the kitchen which was odd. The number of cups, glasses and plates provided was very minimal (we had to go hunting in another room for glasses) so we were constantly washing. But not enough dishwasher tablets were provided to keep on top of it and with no hot water in the kitchen, it started to become a chore. I would have loved to have had a washing machine and dryer available. But then, the laundromat was just across the road and very efficient so that was not a deal breaker. The second bedroom was very small. The bed was right up against the wall (which some of our party can't sleep like that) with very little room for your bags. It might have been good for kids or for a single person in a single bed, but it wasn't really practical as a room for two grown adults. The apartment block itself was a little noisy. We were asked to be very quiet (which we were), but I'm not sure why because everyone else was very noisy.
