NH Madrid Atocha

Peaceful stay, the staff is polite and supportive, check in and out is very easy and quick, Breakfast and staff is so helpful

I like to stay in this hotel because of the location, service and quality. it isn't the first time neither the last

The room was hotter than hell- took two hours to realize only heat was on for the rest of the year. Staff should have known this but they wasted two of my hours in Madrid! Husband had food posionong and we had to deal with staff who had no idea that the heat was on - first they kept acting like I was the incompetent person who could not make the air work. In the end they brought us an extremely noisy little fan that didn’t cool the room and it kept us up with bright lights and clunking noises. And thank you to the genius who suggested we open the window- we had windows wide open and the room was like nine or ten degrees hotter than the hallway. I especially did not appreciate staff wasting my time. My husband was in bed with the food postering and he had to cover up so they could come into our room to “fix”. But it wasn’t broken- air was off for the year.

We were in Madrid without a car, arriving by train. This delightful hotel was reasonably priced and within walking distance to many sights. It was also near the Atocha train station which made train and metro access very handy! We found a pharmacy a block away and great laundry about 3 blocks away as well as other nearby shopping. We would definitely stay again!
