I never write bad reviewes, I'm usually a grateful person, but from the start, communication was a mess. We were given a WhatsApp contact via Booking, who then redirected us to the cleaning lady, who ghosted us. Only after involving a third person could we finally arrange check-in. Replies were painfully slow, often left on read. When we arrived, the apartment was unbearably hot, the A/C didn’t work. A tiny portable unit was provided, but it barely cooled one room, keep in mind, the apartmant had a living room and 2 bedrooms, thus the other 2 rooms remained unlivable. We couldn't sleep because of the heat. Dishes and bedsheets were still wet after check-in, and there were zero cleaning essentials for the dishes (no sponge, no soap, no dishwasher tablets), nothing for the bathroom (shower gel). We were promised an A/C fix the next day, but nothing happened, not even on the third day. Not even an apology. When we asked for compensation, they ignored us. But the moment I said I would contact Booking, they suddenly became super active, arguing with me and sending photos of the portable A/C to Booking chat as evidence. It felt manipulative and toxic. We were offered 80€ to not write a bad review, but when we asked more, at least 100€, around the price of one night, they started ignoring us again, and NO REFUND WAS PROVIDED AT THE END. I understand the owner blames the building managers, but if I spend €400+ on a few nights TO THE OWNER, than take responsibility, reply on time, apologize. You are proving a service. This was supposed to be a short, peaceful break for my mom and grandma who care for my autistic brother 24/7, and never ever go on trips. Instead, they couldn’t even sleep, not even on their well deserved vacation.
