“Very good”

The location of the apartment was excellent for beautiful walks, bars, restaurants, and shopping. Everything was fine and comfortable. Good value for money. The most important thing for me was that dogs are allowed and that very nearby was a lovely park for all his needs. All in all, we had a great stay and loved Santander.

To be improved

The bathroom was a little on the small side, with an unnecessary bidet taking up precious room, and it could do with more shelves and hooks. If you're a tea drinker, take your own travel kettle as we couldn't find the advertised tea making facilities. Kitchen has got the basics, but it's not particularly well stocked. Location is not suited for light sleepers as there is a lively nightlife downstairs. Can't say it bothered us, tho. Parking close-by is difficult. There may be carparks in the vicinity, but I didn't look. After dumping bags, just took the car to a free, white line zone about 20 mins walk away.

“Great location, safe area, but things to be improved”
The best

- Location is very good, close to restaurants, 10 mins away from the bus and train stations - Very close to Mercado del Este - The apartment is clean - Easy access into the apartment - Safe area

To be improved

- Being on a street with pubs, it becomes very noisy on evenings and very early in the mornings when the street is cleaned by the public services - The walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbours - The double bed is very small and it squeaks at every movement. Matress and pillows not comfortable at all - There is no natural light in the living room and bathroom - The socket behind the sofa in the living room was pulled out - The communication with the host was not always great. We asked if an early check-in was possible and instead of an yes or no, they said they needed to check if it was possible. Later on, we got the instructions on how to get into the aoartment starting 3.30pm, even though the check-in houris 3.00pm on booking.com - There is an option for a late check-out which is possible at an extra cost and depending on the availability. This is not mentioned on the booking - There was a very bad smell of old furniture combined with urine on the stairs. (not sure if it's an apartment issue but you will feel it before you reach the apartment)

“Disappointing. Charging hotel prices for poor service.”
The best

It was clean

To be improved

It was above bars and very noisy until at least 1am every night. The double bed was small and squeaked every time you moved. The bedside lights had no sockets nearby so could not be used. There were no welcome packs of tea coffee or washing up liquid and cloths. There was nowhere in the bathroom for toiletries and clothes. The main entrance door was locked and no key was provided so we had to gain entry from a neighbour who was not happy.
