“Nothing worth mentioning, except that the receptionist allowed us to check out one room of our two up until 2 pm. · Cons: This was the worst experience I have had in hundreds of hotel stays. The pictures are misleading of the condition of the hotel. The rooms are not really suites, only a curtain to split the bed from the sofa bed. It started with our bathroom sliding door being jammed and not fully closing. Then, the shower drain was blocked and not draining. Then the fridge wasn't actually a fridge, but a cool box. When we reported the issue with the door, they only jammed it fully open, which made things worse. There was no iron in the room, and when we asked for one in the morning, we got told to come down and pick it ourselves. The cleaning lady opened the door on us at 11am although we had one more day and we had a sign of not to be disturbed. We came back in the evening to find out that the trash bin wasn't cleared, the tissue box wasn't filled, and the floor was not cleaned. Only the beds were made and towels replaced. The gym is tiny with no real weights, just the tiny ones. The treadmill was out of service. The beds were not comfortable and looked worn out. The access key for one of the rooms was faulty twice and we had to go down and reprogramme it. Because our train was at 4 pm, and we had booked 2 rooms for 2 nights, we asked the lady the night before to allow us a later checkout at least for one room. She refused verbally to my wife. I wrote on the Booking app, and she still replied, saying that they're fully booked and we have to be out by 12. The next day, her colleague was kinder and allowed us one room till 2 pm. To make things worse, the fire alarm went off at 9 a.m., which woke us and the children up and made us rush with our passports to the corridors. We were told later that it was an announced testing. The price was a bit more expensive than competitors, but I chose Novotel because of the brand and pictures, but it turned out to be a waste of money and a spoiler of a holiday.”

“Great base for a short work trip and exploring Malaga”

The best

I stayed at Novotel Suites Malaga Centro for a work trip and found it to be an excellent base. The room was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of space to unwind after meetings. The location is very convenient — just a short walk to the bus station, subway, train station, and also within walking distance to the main square, markets, and key attractions. I only had two full days to explore Malaga, but the hotel’s central location made it easy to make the most of my time. Highly recommended for both business and leisure stays — a solid combination of comfort, accessibility, and value.

“Disappointing”

Location and staff was great Breakfast overpriced for the few items they have in buffet

To be improved

The room air conditioning didn't work but staff was adamant about that it is working fine. We had to go buy a small fan for us to sleep comfortably. Later the facility also provided the fan but We never had to do this before and we should have been offered a different room but this wasn't the case.
