Left too early in a.m. to have breakfast. All staff were courteous, professional and very helpful, especially with my lack of Spanish-language skill. The hotel was very clean and comfortable. Out of the 3 hotels I had stayed during my visit in Spain (other 2 were more luxury,) Nua Santa Cruz had the best shower pressure and water temperature and quietest due to its location.

To be improved

Although the entrance was safely locked at one point there was nobody attending the front desk/reception as guests were arriving and did not know how to enter. Apparently, the front desk/reception was needed at their other location. A sign should have been left on door "be back in...." for immediate assistance please call...."

The location was perfect.

We spent one night at the accommodation. Upon arrival, we were shocked to discover that our room had no windows or natural light. The entire space was musty, with numerous signs of water damage on the walls. I immediately requested to be moved to another room, but my request was denied with the explanation that the hotel was fully booked. I then asked to speak with the manager, but this request was also declined. Only after submitting a detailed written complaint was I informed that, in fact, a room was available after all. We were moved there shortly after. While this new room was an improvement—it had a window and did not smell unpleasant—the shower did not function properly. Moreover, it was obvious throughout the accommodation that cost-cutting was prioritized over guest comfort; the overall facilities were inadequate, and the staff appeared inexperienced. I sincerely hope these issues will be addressed, as the location of the property has great potential.
