Occidental Cala Viñas

Suitable for families with children, couples, elderly. Very good food, clean and high quality of everything. Absolutely fantastic beach, entertainment if you want, so it doesn't get boring. A little outside for partying in Magaluf but that's what's good.

What a fantastic hotel, Staff- attentive and friendly , Location- in a nice quiet area, taxie to magaluf was about €7/8 (don't use Uber very expensive), Food- something for everyone, always fresh food coming out, fish, chicken ,veg, potato, pasta, chips, couldn't fault it. We will be back, would suit everyone, from couples, to family young and old, small beach right outside(you have to pay for beds) but you don't need them, shop on the hill, Cleanliness, so clean, room cleaned every day, always staff cleaning.

The kitchen staff carrying food are wearing unwashed smelly clothes, and the omelet chef’s apron was dirty and smells bad.

The hotel is suitable for both adults and families with kids, as they have an amazing animators team. Kids animators Andrea and Adele made a lot of efforts to make all the kids happy and special. Thanks a lot to them. Every evening after kids mini disco, they had an amazing night performance. And every evening it was different and really cool. The only thing was that it started after 09:30. So trying to fight with a sleep but excited to see the show we were waiting for this adorable moments of joy. The food in the restaurant was also different and tasty every day. We liked our room with the sea view, but the bathroom glass wall needs to be better.

Well you did it again my lovely Occidental family, another fabulous stay, we have stayed with you 3 times this year and each time has been absolutely fabulous. Your hotel is not about the location or the beautiful views out to sea and is not the reason we keep coming back it's because each and every single member of your staff are exceptional and make our stays extremely special. I will not be able to put everyone's names but here are some of my favourites, in the restaurant Big boss and little Boss as I call them, Christina, John, Franco, Leo, Sergio, Anna all of them so warm and friendly and truly lovely human beings who feel like friends to us now, I hope you appreciate them 100 percent as you are blessed and very lucky to have them on your team. Food was absolutely delicious this year, gets better on every stay.Lucas in the bar, the beautiful Lua, Unis and Christian always smiling and happy even when under pressure and busy they work so hard. Jacob is just so lovely very observant always checking we are happy and everything is OK also Sandra if you have an issue with anything she gets it sorted immediately and I love that she comes to find you to keep you updated she has a lovely disposition and is very good at her Job. Now unfortunately a few negatives but I hope they will help you. Barcelo must replace the Air conditioning units as they are problematic also for the size of this hotel it would be great if some extra toilets could be installed as on occasions there were 12 ladies waiting to use 2 toilets which was a little frustrating. Also showers very slippery and need to be addressed before next season. I would like you to praise your maintenance men as they are just so lovely and always arrive promptly to fix any issues. Rooms are clean and very comfy beautiful mattresses. Your Animation team are just the best Ciccio, Cappachino, Nadir, Logan, Andrea and Carlos are so lovely. However I do think a few more things could be included in the days activities. We had a bad day weather wise and I and others staying with you expressed how that's when activities not all obviously could be brought inside to keep people entertained, not everyone wants to sit and play cards or Dominoes, lots of crazy games could be done inside also and i think some more need to be invented for next season. But I reiterate that you have a wonderful team who I hope to see again next year as they make our holiday really fun and they have so much energy and give of such an excellent vibe. Spend a week here early October, Nice hotel - staff were very friendly and the food is what you can expect for a 4 star all inclusive. Drinks menu was a little miss leading in the fact that quite a lot of the alcoholic drinks you had to pay extra for, The hotel is a lot bigger than the photos make out - a lot of stair climbing and lifts needed - for instance the reception is on floor 4 and the restaurant is on ground level. One negative about this hotel is the lack of toilets. In the evening, the bar and stage on level 2 has no toilets meaning you have to go down nearly 3 flights of stairs just to find the closest one. This hotel is also not near anything - you will need to get a bus or walk up a couple hills to find anything around, we found Magaluf beach a nice walk - roughly 20 minutes on foot but again you will need to climb hills and steps to get our of the complex grounds. Overall a good place to stay - Especially for a family with young kids, but only if you are planning on staying in the grounds and taking advantage of the all inclusive while relaxing.
