“Peaceful and modern hotel on the Mar Menor”

The breakfast buffet was fantastic, although a slightly earlier start time would make it even better. The variety of swimming pools is great.

To be improved

The rooms did not have the beds arranged as per booking upon arrival, although the reception girls where super helpful and rushed to solve it even considering it was late night. The shower leaks and inundates the bathroom floor.

The reception staff were really friendly, the buffet style food was lovely with a good choice of dishes that changed every evening. The massive 50m swimming pool was one of 3 which were not busy. The gym was compact but had newish equipment and although we only went half board your basic drinks like beer, wine and soda were free at dinner via self service. We paid for a few drinks at lunch time by the pool and the cocktails were a reasonable 7.50 euros and a beer 3 euros. All in all great stay. You will 100% need a car to travel anywhere of interest but we knew this. Cartegena was a 25 min drive and we highly recommend this for a day out.

To be improved

We had a strong unpleasant smell in our room 106 when we first arrived but were promptly moved to another room by reception. The property does not have a local beach you can swim in as it is full of weeds and jelly fish, drive instead to La Manga where the beaches were great and only 20 minutes away by car.

Fairly decent choice at breakfast if you’ve got it included but nothing special. · Cons: Location is an absolute killer and I’d go as far to say do not stay here unless you have a car. 25/30 minute wait for a taxi if you’re lucky. No decent bars or shops in walking distance. Hotel is also lacking atmosphere and has abit of a strange feel to it - almost like a hospital. the surrounding land is basically deserted. We ended up checking out a day early to move to a hotel with better location.”
