Occidental Roca Negra - Adults Only

Good property and location for relaxing stay for couples. Reception and pool bar staff not so welcoming/service minded

we have a lot of experience with all inclusive. all I can say is that this hotel has a lot of exceptions. Reception did not even have water BUT they ware open 24 hours. There were timings for water. What nonsense. We checked out at 12. BUT lunch was extra. Shower head was broken. We gave up on telling them this. Reception was not very inviting. Lunch is processed, not recommended. Have to survive until a hopeless dinner.

This was a perfect getaway. From check in to check out our experience felt like 5 star treatment. Staff were lovely and all helpful, the food, both quality and variety, was incredible and the pool area was perfect. Everything was spotless, the views were breathtaking and the room was a good size. Comfy bed, clean shower room and Netflix available on the tv. Receptionist recommended the restaurant down the road and it was fantastic. Amazing quality food and good value for money. Thank you for making our anniversary such a memorable one. Definitely plan to return

Ideal location for a good exploration of this North Western Corner of Gran Canaria. Comfortable hotel, very friendly staff and a wide selection of good quality food, hot and cold buffet, at breakfast and dinner.

Stayed in the Occidental Roca Negra while enjoying a walking holiday. I found the hotel to be very good,the staff always pleasant and the choice of food at breakfast and dinner very good. The room I had was spacious with a great sea view.

This hotel is fantastic with great staff (especially the lunchtime pool waiters). Had a lovely, quiet airy junior suite on the pool level. We have stayed in other Barcelo hotels and they have all been excellent. We were bed and breakfast and the only downside in our case was the absence of restaurants in the close vicinity of the hotel. There was a steep, longish walk down to the harbour for a few shops/restaurants. If booking on an all inclusive basis this would not be an issue. The management arranged for a bottle of cava and cake on my birthday which was a lovely personal touch.
