Ocean Breeze Apartments

Unfortunately, there are some shortcomings that would have been a no-go for us if someone had mentioned it in their review beforehand. - Vermin in the bathroom. It is well known that there are cockroaches in the Canary Islands, but they tend to be outside and avoid the interiors. However, we discovered giant cockroaches in the bathroom every night, on the washbasin and in the cupboard below. Especially where there are personal items, toothbrushes, etc. Very disgusting... We found out later that the cockroaches were coming from the drainpipe. The manager was informed and promised to organize an exterminator. Unfortunately, it was too late for us. - Construction sites in the immediate vicinity There is a lot of construction going on around it, including the entire coastal section being redesigned. There is a lot of heavy construction machinery on the road. We were particularly annoyed by the fact that the vehicles start moving out as early as 7:30 a.m., constantly beeping peep peep peep. - The pool can only be booked for the whole day You can't book the pool for a few hours, it's hardly possible to stay there all day - the large building site is practically directly opposite. At the daily price per person of €7 plus €6 per umbrella - it adds up to quite a lot for a stay of a few hours for a family of 4. - The small bedroom has practically no windows The small window only connects to the other bedroom, so hardly any fresh air gets in. At night the air is very stuffy, you can only sleep there with the fan running (there are two) - if you can. Conclusion As nice as the apartment is, we tried to leave it early and come back as late as possible because of noise and bugs. We were happy to fly home again. If we had known everything in advance, we would not have booked this apartment.
