The best

The views are spectacular, we loved the quiet too. The access road is bumpy but not a big issue, just be aware! The kitchen is large and has a great stove top and oven. Good fridge and freezer, kettle and coffee machine. The kitchen knives are good which makes a change from some properties. Breakfast on the terrace was especially enjoyable. We enjoyed the little beach in the village, safe swimming and protected from the breeze. We walked from the house one day 3 or 4 miles along the coast, this was a highlight and would definitely do again. Visit to Lagomar was great, recommended. It is only about 40 minutes from airport which was a joy!

To be improved

The house could do with a tidy up, it is a bit tired. It isn't run down but does need some updating. There is no table to eat a proper meal outside, that's a pity and is something we enjoy. The low table is ok for breakfast only. Another medium sized saucepan and another dish for the oven would complete the kitchen. We coped but these would be helpful. Bed was a bit noisy, seems to be held together with screws through the frame. comfortable enough though. Shared laundry room is ok but each unit needs a drying rack. There was just one very rust rack. There were only 2 wine glasses and 2 tumbler glasses, not sufficient for most stays. The house is off grid, solar battery ran out so we had no power for several hours. No explanation was given for this except there had been exceptionally high useage the day before, strange as we were all out all day. The hosts were not helpful in this respect and lack tact in communication. The electric water heater also failed that day which was an unfortunate coincidence, it was replaced 48 hours later.
