Old Center Inn Alicante

We weren’t given a blanket or anything for our bed, and the window didn’t shut. It was quite difficult to find and check in was difficult as nobody opened the door for us for a while.

Was sand on the bad, water was dripping on the pillow from the air conditioning, we let them know that we will be late they send us a massage where to call but for 4 hours nobody answered, lost the time for sleep staying outside and waiting (not good weather that night)… They need at least one more bathroom, and more cleaning in the existing once.

I arrived at the property and was not able to get in the front door. The person we text provided us with the wrong key code but was adamant it was correct and basically told me I would get a refund and that was it. So I had traveled to Alicante and now had no room at 9.30pm. Very unhelpful and rude! I then received an email at 1.45am with the correct key code number. The original number provided had been deleted off all the original WhatsApp messages to cover up the error. I was not able to use the room and the customer service was awful.

On arrival, staff members didn't answer the phone so we were unable to get into the building, we did not see any staff members nor did we have any contact with them to help us access the room. Once we entered the hall way there was rubbish that hadnt been taken out, heating up in the 32 degree heat. Bathroom was dirty and complete with a cracked toilet seat, this place was so dirty we booked somewhere else for the rest of our stay!

Extremely aggressive staff and management. No service. No key in the cell. Instead of separate beds they gave us a shared bed and didn't even change the sheets! The sink is clogged, there is no kitchen! The door is broken, but they said that all this is only our problem. When we asked to do something, they said that they would call the police. ..Cleaning started at 2 am! The worst hostel in the world!

It was the most strange place I have been because there was no reception no person responsible. Usually you are asked for you passport but here not so felt unsafe. We wanted to get in just to leave the bags but the " owner" was just texting didn't answer so I have no idea who I was talking. And they said he or she will come at 15 but no one came so I entered the building with someone who was already there and rang on the door and the cleaning lady gave us the key. I was feeling anxious a lot because i never had experience like this with who knows who owns it or someone responsible. It was really dirty the cleaning lady was cleaning every day but there was this horrible smell and the toilets were disgusting. I guess for the money we paid it is what you get for "clean" but I can't get over the fact that no one really talked to me just text from who knows who. I have to say it is. Such a pity that location and this place to be organized and lead like that whoever owns it it needs to be given to someone who knows what he is doing. So I would not come back and the fact that the air conditioner was working on and of on 32 degrees was another stress but for 3 days we survived.
