When we made this booking it was not stated that we had to go to a different location from the apartment to collect the keys. We were on the understanding that someone would be there to meet us at the apartment with the keys. This has always previously been the case with other accommodation provides. On the day we arrived We had to collect the keys in Salou then we had to get a taxi From Salou to la Pineda €25 after travelling all night, three hour trip to get to Dublin airport, flying into Barcelona airport then getting the bus into salou, two hour journey, to get to the office to collect the keys, which was not easy when you are carrying suitcases and trying to navigate through the street of Salou,Eventually when we found the office the attitude of the staff was terrible. We explained how we were travelling all night and they agreed to provide a Taxi and pay for the fare to La Pineda, When the taxi arrived my wife asked the man on the desk to explain that they we going to cover the fare he did talk to the taxi driver. When we arrived at la pineda the Taxi driver was looking for his fare, we expained the company was going to pay for the fare, we asked him to ring the office. when he did they refused. When we booked this accommodation there was no mention of collecting the keys in Salou, only the day before leaving we found this out, we tried all day prior to leaving to ring the office of the accommodation, To get a menber of the staff to meet us at the apartment in la pineda without much success. we rang Booking.com a number of times that day, we were told that it was unacceptable that we had to go around chasing keys and they would sort it out only to be told that they were waiting for the manager to get back to them, which never happened
