“Great hotel that hesitates to smile”

Hotel is in a quaint location not too far from the city of Palma but still with the charm of small towns similar to other places on the island. Breakfast was decent but the restaurant had great views.

While the say was OK, the one thing that all of my friends coincidentally and individually observed was that the staff, all the way from check-in to breakfast to the bell boys, were very flat faced, not unfriendly, but just straight to the point and lacked the minimum warmth required for a hotel of this level and price. This made us feel a bit unwelcomed for some reason. Honestly, the feeling was very strange. They did have a survey sent out at the middle of our stay to check on how its going and I mentioned this to them too and they responded immediately by acknowledging my feedback along with a fruit platter, which I thought was kind of their management but it dint do much to eliminate our unsettled feeling as the problem was deeply rooted. The only exception during our interaction was the lady at the spa who was very kind, professional and warm!

The hotel is advertised as a 4*, the pictures promote a nice , clean, spacious, modern hotel which is not the case. The room was tiny, the bed was barely a double, very chlosterphobic, the room smelt of sewers. We was located on 8th floor with all amenities on the ground. The pool was basic , dirty & old. There were kids running around everywhere, sunbeds was literally on top of each other, the pool was chaotic. The restaurant pergolo was banging consistently making so much noise, with risk of it flying off. The pool mans chair kept going getting knocked over & banging. Absolutely no way of relaxing. There was an annoying drunk man going round off his head being rude. Hotel is old & run down. Cant get taxi either. Waited an hour for taxi to new hotel & then it cancelled. We had to walk a mile to a bus stop and then get a bus. Took 2.5hrs in total once we checked out to get to our new hotel
