“A very rare 10 from me!”
We stayed in 8 places on this road trip in Spain and Portugal and this was our favourite, hence the maximum 10 score. Everything about is was perfect. A fabulous, very old building near the centre of Toro, We parked free of charge on the road outside, right under our bedroom window! Breakfast was excellent! We intended to stay about 30km further up the Duero valley but I spotted this hotel and revised our journey plan. I'm so glad I did.
I wish the restaurant had been open for dinner. We had a very good dinner elsewhere but I understand that dining here is renowned. Not open on Tuesdays though :(
“Great stay”
Very well located hotel. In a property full of history. The room was like being in an old medieval palace. Very clean, quiet, comfortable and the staff very helpful.
“Accesable to town and center. Great deal for the money. Great food at the restaurant. Includes breakfast.”
It’s central to the small town center. You are able to walk to all attractions like the museums and restaurants.
The property is a very old stone castle with a lot of charm but you can smell the sewage in the back room and bathroom.
“Nice option”
Good location, nicely decorated, very clean
This property is NOISY. Bring earplugs.
“Nice location. Lovely building. Rooms comfortable and well furnished.”
Lovely location in a beautiful little town. Unique building. Lovely rooms.
Parking was away from the hotel. Communication with the staff we met was a little difficult.
“Passing through”
Beautiful old building, lots of character. Well placed for walking the old town. Cafe beside La Tonada was excellent quality and value. Staff very friendly.
Nothing. Everything was good.
