Floors were dirty on arrival. Walked across the floor in white socks and they were dirty by the time I walked through the apartment. Don’t expect to have to clean the floors on arrival which we had to do. Communication with owner was poor. She asked us to allow some workers in to fix the plants irrigation system while we were out which we were not happy about so we arranged to stay in for the day and evening. No one turned up and no one advised us. Totally wasted day and we even volunteered to water the plants. Reasonably happy with apartment until 2 days before we were due to leave and the bathroom and bedroom had a ant invasion. Ants got on the bed and on our belongings.We were not comfortable in waiting for the owner to fix the issue so we left early and went to an hotel. We did not want chemicals spaying near us and our belongings. My wife has a breathing condition and this would not have been good for her. When we tried to ask for a small refund to cover costs and wasted food, the owner stated we were “abusing” our position and point blank refused saying it was not her problem.Not sure what that meant. Would not recommend this apartment for the sole reason that the owner is totally unreasonable and has zero customer service skills. Apartment is tired looking and needs a good coat of paint and refreshing. Also you must rent a car if you do decide to rent this property. It is at the bottom of a very steep hill about 1km long. Ok going down but try walking up it every day!!!!!!!

Distance of apartment from a bus route.Walking anywhere is very difficult due to the hillside location,and impossible for the infirm.Transport is essential from the apartment. Booking.com must correct the location of the apartment to Paseo del Retiro,not Chopin road,which looks close on paper but is miles away by road.Our driver (booking.com) couldn’t find the apartment and had to make several office calls on route

The only thing we noticed was dust luying on headboard and shower area but we put that to be not being used for a bit

Hill is very steep but i new that and was prepared for it due to the apartment being so good
