The ac heating didn't work, but Costa rentals provided us with an extra heater.

The AC was difficult to work

The pool had been closed for over a month, and was closed during our stay. On Booking it stated that the pool was open all year round, and this was one of the main reasons we booked this apartment. We are a family of 4 and the pool was supposed to be the key to a great holiday for us. We were not informed of it being closed until less than 24 hours before our arrival, although I had been in regular communication with Costa Rentals on various things for weeks before arrival. We were obviously not supposed to know because then we would have canceled our stay, or never booked the apartment to begin with. Very dishonest of them, and they refused to compensate us in any way.  Also, there were many signs of mold in the apartment, especially in the master bedroom. Awful mildew smell, signs on the walls and many silverfish insects on the floor. Very uncommon in a newly built house like this one. See pics.  Due to ongoing paint work on the house we could furthermore not use the parking space assigned to us for the first half of our stay, and we were not informed on that beforehand.  The common areas of the building, including staircases and elevators, were poorly taken care of and unwelcoming. The garden and pool area was furthermore not very accessible from the apartment. Lastly, the heating system didn't work. It got quite cold in the evening but the heater did not function. We didn't contact Costa Rentals on it, we were simply too disappointed with them at that point to have the appetite to speak with them again.
