“The mountains”
It’s situation. Staff at reception excellent
Staff in restaurant not welcoming. Food not as good as at other paradors. No information about the previous use of the hotel.
“The views…”
The location, the surrounding views and the building are sufficient reasons to make the long drive here. even if you ignore the park, just standing on the top porch and looking at the views is sufficient. the rooms are comfortable and clean and other than the bed setup (see below) are excellent. but it’s the views and location which seals the deal - even from your rooms window. it’s worth it.
both our rooms, and from we understand the majority in this place, are 2 “twin beds” which basically means 2 single beds. my wife and I aren’t newly weds by any means, but that’s not a common setup nor an acceptable one. the restaurant is fine, but a little overhyped, especially at the price range. the town of Bielsa is by no means close so it may be your only option.
“It's all in the detail.”
The location. The reception staff. The tranquility.
The heating. Much too hot. Sweltering and we couldn't turn it down. I had cataract surgery the week before and this made my eyes red and sore. No coffee or tea facilities in the room. This is the absolute basic hotel provision. The breakfast was poor for the price. No information about any hot food available. I asked for tortilla and it was lovely but none of the personnel offered to inform me what else was available. On Christmas Eve we want to the bar. It was open. No staff in attendance. We waited 20 minutes! The fire was dying so I put logs on. At Christmas, if the staff can't serve you as clients, then why was it open? We were finally attended by an unfriendly bartender, who obviously didn't want to be there. A shame.
“Good to be back in Bielsa parador”
Warm welcome and warm room in dark november evening arrival. Restaurant also good!
Shower in the wrong side of the bath is not comfortable and also not safe.
“Breathtaking views. Affordable.”
Vintage, classy, spacious and different.
Luggage service at arrival is very limited
