Parador de Carmona

Serene snd elegant. We had planned to stay here but noticed that major exterior renovations were underway. We stayed at the Alcázar de la Reina instead, which was well-placed and lovely. However, we dropped in to the Parador for a look and had coffee and cake in the welcoming bar. It is a beautiful hotel and well worth a visit. You can have coffee, drinks, snacks and big tapas in the bar overlooking the plain. Fabulous view. The service was very good. Only one guy on but he was efficient and businesslike. Once the works are completed this beautiful hotel will be magnificent.

This parador is a treasure. The common areas are so beautiful and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience.

The location of this impressive hotel is breathtaking. We had a superior room with a balcony overlooking the beautiful countryside and mountains beyond . The lounge areas are beautiful and food in the restaurant ( great Iberico pork steak) and bar area ( decent pizza and club sandwich) were good. The bedroom was a little tired but half of our floor was cordoned off for a major refurbishment so it looks like these are being updated. There was also significant damp in the corridors ( towels were needed) .The building work outside was extensive and did spoil some of the experience of staying on this historic site. This place could be amazing and hopefully once the work is completed it will be.
