Parador de Granada

We had the Junior suite with an amazing view. From the moment we arrived to our departure we had a top class experience. All staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend this place!

THE BEST place to stay if you want to be close to the Alhambra. Yet another amazing Parador, on the grounds of the Alhambra Palace. Wonderful staff, a great resataurant, very comfortable rooms.

We loved the Parador de Granada. Set within the Alhambra, it is itself an historic building, having been a Moorish palace and a Christian convent. Ferdinand and Isabella were interred at the location for a while before being buried in the Royal Chapel in Granada. Wonderful service, excellent breakfasts, lovely clean and functional room, kind staff, great views, and so close to the glorious Alhambra and Generalife.

If your goal is to visit the Alhambra, this is the place to stay. It's super convenient to see one of the sites, then head back to your room for a quick refresh before heading back out again. There are other hotels that are close by, but none would really offer the level of convenience (location location location!) of the Parador. If your goal is to visit Granada, you'll do fine staying elsewhere. Staying at this Parador means staying at the Alhambra - there's a romantic sense of history in that but in the end, there's no real value staying at the Parador once the Alhambra closes for the evening.

Sadly we endured a terrible stay at Parador de Granada. Our room, no 109 suffered noise pollution from a fan coil system which runs continuously preventing restful sleep. This greatly impacted our visit.

So special to walk back to the hotel after dinner through the empty grounds of the Alhambra complex. Lovely hotel, great customer attention, wonderful breakfast. Highly recommend.
