“A magnificent Parador in a fascinating City”

The best

It was a privilege to stay in this magnificent building -- and we loved the beautifully modernized section of the parador, and the beautifully maintained and restored heritage sections of the building. We loved the restaurant and bar, and the outstanding art displays. The location is wonderful, and so was the view of the river and Roman bridge from the windows of our room. And Leon itself is fascinating -- we hope to return!

“Enjoyable stay but bedroom heating/lighting beyond our comprehension”

Enjoyable hotel. Accommodation itself is in modern section of hotel, but many atmospheric relaxing areas in adjoining older sections. Breakfasts very good. Central atrium bar/dining area is so spacious it was chilly at times. Heating and lighting technology in bedrooms was completely beyond us and had to continually call staff to help.

“An excellent choice.”

The best

The initial impression of the parador was spectacular from the outside. Inside it was an exquisite blend of ancient and modern. Our room was very spacious and well appointed and the communal areas were very special too. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and would highly recommend it.

“Excellent stay at historic building in Leon”

The best

We had a chance to stay at San Marcos which I have dreamed since 10 years ago and we really satisfy with it.. Our room is good and spacious, breakfast is excellent. Other than sleeping, we also explore the historic building.

This is a wonderful Parador, showcasing Spanish history, design, art and craftsmanship. The mix of original architecture and features with modern design and facilities was superb. Food and drink were exceptional and service impeccable. And good value for money
