Terrible Experience - Left Stranded with Kids Our stay at this property was supposed to be a pleasant family getaway, but it turned into a nightmare due to the host’s unprofessional and heartless behavior. We booked and paid for three nights through Booking.com, but when we arrived, the host refused to let us in, leaving us stranded with three young children. Heartbreaking Details: 1. Denied Entry: After a long journey, we arrived at the apartment only to be told by the host that we couldn’t enter. We were left standing outside with our three kids (ages 2, 8, and 11) in an unfamiliar city with nowhere to go. 2. Deposit Deception: The host accused us of refusing to pay a security deposit, which is completely false. We simply asked if it was possible to get the deposit back on the check-out day. Instead of addressing our reasonable query, the host insisted that we cancel our reservation, which we did not want to do. 3. Demanding Extra Fees: The host demanded an additional cleaning fee of 60 euros, despite this fee being included in our booking. When we questioned this, the host became hostile and uncooperative. 4. Unreasonable Check-In Delays: The host delayed our check-in time from 4 PM to 6 PM without any justification, adding to our stress and inconvenience. 5. Unprofessional and Rude Behavior: The host’s conduct was shockingly rude. He pressured us to cancel our reservation and refused to communicate with us effectively. He also insisted that we pay the deposit to a cleaning lady who didn’t speak English, violating Booking.com’s policies. Scam Concerns: The host had no previous reviews, raising serious concerns about the legitimacy of this listing. It seems like the host could be a scammer, taking money without providing the promised service. We feel cheated and suspect that this may have been an intentional fraud.
