“Adequate and convenient stay”
Fine for a stop near the Notre dame du haut ( le Corbusier ) a bit out of the village. Easy to find, ample parking, easy check in, fine room.
We opted for dinner because there was nothing around and we didn’t feel like going all the way back into town. The menu was very difficult to navigate . We couldn’t order a daily special because we didn’t have a voucher (?) and the fish we ordered couldnt be prepared due to a malfunctioning device preparing it. That said what we did manage to order tasted great and staff ( English is a bit of an issue ) are very friendly. For us it was however quite pricey and not a lot you could do to keep costs down ; except for not ordering the €60 euro wine .. Little simple meals, like a soup with bread would be a nice addition we think !
“as expected best budget stay.”
very quiet location. you can use the fridge freezer and microwave. which I did. comfortable communal space
“Clean, quiet, safe, but, stark.”
Huge old hillside chalet. Quiet, clean, safe. It is like its owners; old & tired. Reception, from memory, has no sign. It is the office. The man was helpful and was kind enough to speak English. The rooms are up a flight of steps on the outside to the front door. Inside are common rooms and the bedrooms. All clean and quiet and bright. The common room has two large blue sofas, table, table and chairs, kitchenette with fridge/freezer, microwave etc. A small sink. Television. WIFI was OK. The bedroom was clean and big. Two single beds with good linen. Wardrobe. Bedside table and lamp. Large windows for fresh air. Roller shutter. Tawny Owl calling at night. The shower room is of a good size. Single headed shower works well with plenty of hot water. Towels and hand soap provided. The shower room like everywhere is clean. Outside is a very nice quiet garden with lovely views. Plenty of parking.
The large blue sofas too are old and tired and need covering or replacing. The sink is ridiculously behind a pillar; very strange. No air conditioning. The shower cabinet is small. No shower gel. The bedroom is stark; no frills. Like the owners. No garden furniture that I saw. It’s a mile up a very steep hill from the nearest sidreria and food. Not fun if you are a walker.
“Pleasant enough”
Very good value for money
Nothing really although the place was quite dated I would definitely stay again
“Peaceful setting with farm animals nearby”
Room was large and bathroom also large and tidy. Use of fridge, microwave, dishes, was handy.
Considering this was basically a farm stay, I found the complete lack of any outdoor space odd. There is no terrace, bench, or anywhere to go but to your room (or the community rooms). Facilities are in the middle of green and beautiful hills, but nowhere to enjoy it. Having a car is essential, as it is far from even Hernani and difficult to find the first time. Furniture in the room is misplaced.
