“We would come back any time and will recommend it to our friends!”
We loved to relax and discover the area! It was so quiet, no planes, sirens or motorcycles. The house and garden are beautiful. Alicia and Jacobo did an outstanding job with breakfast, different every morning! Their two dogs are well behaved and good watch dogs.
“Great inland stay”
Great breakfast, clean room, very good guidance regarding the places to visit and to eat. Huge yard, very good for stargazing.
“Nice accommodation in a scenic countryside”
Set in rural and scenic countryside with a very helpful hostess. We had an enjoyable 8 day stay attending an international event. Great size studio room and bathroom. Overall, a very nice area to explore. Very friendly dog and horse and large garden area.
• Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi in the out out-based studio room. Wi-fi is available in the main building lounge where the router is located nearby, but even then, I found the signal pretty weak. • Lovely bathroom but lack of a ventilation fan means the floor gets very slippery. Opening the window is not really an option as too many mosquitoes. • Would be great if the room had a kettle to boil water for coffee as we had to use the Microwave. • It would be helpful if the radiators were modernised with thermostats so the heat can be regulated. • The main yard and pathway consists of large cobbles and as a result the pathway leading to out-based rooms can be very slippery when wet due to leaves from surrounding trees. Bring appropriate shoes but ideally periodic pressure washing would help. Tips 1) Wherever you are staying in the area, there seems to be lots of mosquitoes so if you are not used to them, come well prepared. Keep windows closed! 2) There are some restaurants about a 10-minute drive in a car. However, they generally do not open for food until 20:30 or 21.00. Eating very late is the norm for this area of Spain. Note: Most restaurants do not open Sundays and Mondays so plan around this.
“An amazing country respite, for us, after completing the Primitivo”
This is not just a place to stay, but rather it is an experience. It is a centuries-old manor that has a vineyard and has been in Alisha's family these many years. We had room #6 for two nights and could see both, the lovely gardens and the family chapel from our windows. Alisha lives with her husband, their adorable and smart dog, and a white horse on the premises. Be sure to choose the optional breakfast as it is healthy, beautifully presented and abundant. If you do not speak Spanish, it is of no concern. Alisha's English is very good. Also no supper is provided on site, but the owner arranged a taxi for us to ride a short distance to one of the best restaurants with fresh, local food that we have experienced while in Spain. Our room was spotlessly clean, fresh smelling and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was nice and hot, and there is a hair dryer, body wash and shampoo. I am so pleased we were able to experience these two days at Alisha and Jacobo's home and highly recommend it to you.
