“Our stay was an absolute nightmare”

When we got to the apartment, it was obvious they hadn’t cleaned. The toilet was a mess and clogged. We reached out to the owner, and their solution? Wait till Monday – and mind you, it was Saturday. We pushed a bit on Sunday, hinting at contacting customer service, and that’s when they finally sent a plumber. But the catch? We ended up cleaning after him. WiFi was a total joke. Their fix? Use the neighbour’s, but even that barely connected, and only in a random spot in the living room. We were looking forward to a BBQ, a big reason we chose the place, but it was rusty and unusable. They offered to clean it, but as the pictures show, that wasn’t going to cut it. Then there were the cockroaches. Everywhere. It got to the point where they were in our stuff, our bed — made it hard to get a good night’s rest. The kitchen fan didn’t work, so no cooking without opening the windows. But that just invited more cockroaches in. To cap it off, there was this sketchy light switch in the kitchen, weirdly connected and tucked out of sight (see the photos). Felt like we were taking a risk every time we used it. The cherry on this disaster sundae? The owner. Totally rude and full of tall tales. They accused us of trying to wrangle a refund with made-up complaints. If they bother replying to this review, just check out the pics I’ve uploaded and see the real story. In short? The stay was a nightmare.
