“Good location, close to the Casco Viejo, well connected with other parts of the city. Less than 20 minutes by bus or tram from the main coach station and about 10 minutes walking from the Vitoria-Gasteiz train station. Our room and bathroom were very clean, the owner was friendly and the price reasonable. · Cons: One thing needs to be mentioned: the at times overwhelming stench of cigarette smoke coming from the floor where the staff stays (and from some other rooms probably as well). It's not that they don't try to do something about it. They do. But someone there must be loving tobacco so much that for non-smokers like us, the smell was just unbearable. Even clothes that we kept inside our suitcase stank of cigarettes... Still, that did not kept us from staying there and we had a lovely time. So, just please stop smoking, get rid of the reek and it will be fine :)”

“Overall I'm glad I chose to stay at Pensión Amaia and would stay there again”
The best

The room was very cleaned every morning with the bed being made and bathroom towels change. I arrived late in the evening and the management were very warm and welcoming and also helped me with my suitcase which was extremely helpful after a long and tiring train journey. There's a big department store across the road with a great downstairs supermarket and also a tram stop not far away to be able to reach other areas of the city.

To be improved

The air temperature was cold for October so some low heat from the radiators could have helped but the price for each night's stay was excellent
