“Great service, convenient location and amazing rooftop view!”
My family and I stayed in one of the VIP rooms on the rooftop, where we enjoyed the stunning view of Albaicin! The customer service was especially helpful and accommodating. We were there for 2 weeks and had a great hotel experience. I definitely recommend the VIP rooms, where you get aircon, a mini fridge, and a microwave in your en suite.
“Slightly better than expected”
Stayed for one night en route to the airport. Was aware it is a budget hotel so expectations were not high. The staff member was welcoming and friendly. The room had a roof terrace with spectacular views and was clean and equipped with fridge and microwave. Downsides are the paper thin walls (the guys next door watched loud tv until 3 am. and the decor is a bit careworn. There was no hot water for a shower. Not bad for the money. Take earplugs if other people's noise bothers you
“Basic but very cheap and comfortable, great value”
This place is about half the price of the next cheapest place offering en suite rooms, but definitely worth trying. It's basic but has reasonable facilities, more than I'd expect for the price. There was a private en suite bathroom, a large comfortable bed, no AC but a fan, plus the room was clean and of a reasonable size. There's also a balcony looking out over a part of albayzin and the main road with the pleasant art deco buildings of that area of the city. It's quite good for accessing the northern portions of the medina and some of the interesting churches and panoramic viewpoints nearby (miradors). There's also a historic hospital from the 16th century just a hundred metres or so from the place. I found my stay very comfortable and the staff very helpful, always willing to offer suggestions or help out with bags. Wifi was also good enough to skype. Would definitely come here again if i was in granada on a budget.
“No way you can fall asleep with the noises!”
I stayed there only for one night and the I could not sleep the whole night! This pension locates right next to the busy street and the street is loud with traffic 24 hours! The window of the pension does not block any noises AT ALL! If you really want to sleep, I guess you have to use ear plugs... The frond desk is not very helpful either as few of them speak English. You can ONLY check in after 2pm otherwise you have to pay 10 euros more to check in earlier. The room is very small and the elevator is very small as well. I will never recommend this place if you have other options.
“Friendly pension with a view”
We stayed at Pension Atlantida for 2 nights. Accommodations in Granada were nearly sold out and we booked last minute but we were pleasantly surprised as how clean and comfortable this pension was. We lucked out and got a rooftop VIP room with a bathroom on 4th floor with a spacious patio and fantastic view. The beds were comfortable, room was quiet and plenty of hot water for showers. The location is within easy walking distance to all tourist attractions & neighborhoods & tapa bars. Airport bus conveniently picks up right outside.
“Great smaller Pension”
From the moment I walked in I liked it. The check in is at the first floor and the person working behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. map and instructions re interesting parts and must sees of Granada were given. A coffee machine (pods) is available in this area as well, a coffee and croissant or similar 1 euro. Also near entrance of building I noticed some drinks machines. Interior nice with colorful tiles ... Small elevator in the building. Our room was just as on the pictures. A little balcony with wooden shutter doors to keep out the sun and I suppose the traffic noise as the room was on the street side. But when you have them closed traffic noise a lot less. Cute tiled bathroom with a good working shower (over the bath). Good bedlinen and towels. Flatscreen tv and pretty good working wifi. I loved the overhead fan and the standing fan. In a lot of pensions and hotels there's none and it can get soooooo hot! The room was serviced every day. It's a smaller establishment which like. The position of the pension is good as you have a choice of some different interesting areas to walk to. paid 6 euros to get from bus station Sud to get here. This is not a place if you want to have a lot of luxury surrounding you but it's great if you like a very clean, well situated, well outfitted and comfortable budget option. And if you want s great authentic place for breakfast and/or wine/tapas without the tourist trap tab look no further than the first street on the right when you step out of the pension doors. It's called Bodegas Edpadafor . It's right around the corner and together with the locals you'll be happy with the quality and quantity.
