“Take room 409 :)”

The best

My room had an en-suite and was facing the internal yard, so it was quiet. The facilities had some cooking equipment (microwave, kettle, fridge) and coffee/tea in the cooking area which was a bonus. The property was cleaned every day. Staff was very helpful.

To be improved

The common area was a bit messy but clean in all fairness. The interior was outdated and would require a dash of paint.

“Great historical building with authentic old lift. Very good position, walkable distance from shops and cafes. Very helpful staff, helped up with camping and taxi. Also looked after our luggage. · Cons: The bathroom really was an issue. The shower nozzle was positioned so low that you had to stoop to a half sitting position. Water was hot, then suddenly went cold. The mirror needed a good clean and lighting was extremely poor. It was so dark and restrictive. The bed and walls were bright enough, very old though with peeling paint. I did find a silver fish scuttling along the bed sheet. The place would probably be okay for backpackers, but not us, an older couple.”
