A traditional style Cantabrian house/pension with good parking and garden to relax in. Very amiable hosts and a comfortable fresh airy room. Real treat to have a soap dispenser that did its job efficiently - not so for previous stays over 3 weeks at 3&4* hotels!! Really nice to have right level of bed coverings for hot weather.

To be improved

Some grab rails to facilitate safe use of the shower in the bath by 80 year old with Parkinson’s. Not a great lover of softer foam mattresses. Bit of a hot walk into town in hottest weather.

The location was very close to the village. The lady on reception was very friendly and helpful. the house was full of Spanish charm and had an oldy worldy feel to the place. There was a small balcony to sit out on in the evening.

To be improved

The bathroom shower didn't have much pressure plus the area to stand on the water overflowed onto the tiles which were slippy. Also the sink didn't have a plug so couldn't have a quick wash without having to have a shower. The breakfast was quite plain. Only a small white baguette toasted with butter and jam. A small dish of two fresh fruit and one cup of coffee. Also the house needs to be better sign posted. We went to a house next door thinking that was the house we booked, but was referred back out to the main road with alternative directions. No sign to say that it was the Casa Rural/Pension.

The location is perfect--beautiful views and a lovely back footpath to town. It is a short drive to many local sites of interest (be prepared for challenging locations.)

To be improved

The breakfast was the only disappointment. The owner/manager, who does everything, puts her energy into beautiful flowers, friendliness, cleanliness.
