“Very basic, but clean and neat place.”
It was the second time we stayed at this property. Long story short: you get what you pay for. The room was very basic but clean and neat. In the morning it may get a bit loud due to the proximity to the railway tracks, but closing the window works well. There is no breakfast option at the hotel, but plenty of places to eat in the neighborhood.
On the day of our departure a horrific stench appeared in the bathroom. We could not locate it (could have been sewage or ventilation), but luckily we were about to check out.
“Very basic but clean and tidy room in a lovely neighborhood”
Very basic rooms with the minimum stuff incuded. Everything was clean and the lady at the reception was very nice. The neighbourhood is lovely, vibrant and gives the vibes of a close-knit community. There is a plenty of lovely tabernas and cafes nearby, and two supermarkets within 5 min walking distance. Even at night, the neighbourhood felt safe, although a little dark.
Walls are pretty thin and you can hear people walking in the corridor and slamming the door all night. Keep in mind that if you want to use metro, you'd need to walk for quite a while.
“Alright for the price, I guess”
It was pretty quiet, and the full kitchen was very nice. Also close to the trainstation and supermarket.
Our room was very different from the photo's, it was very outdated and the light was broken
“Really good value for a short stay in Bilbao”
Excellent value for money when many hotels were hiking up their prices for the Europa League cup final. They honoured our booking in full and provided a decent and clean room with a comfortable bed. Convenient for local transport
“I would not choose this place again, I felt unsafe”
we appreciated the person at the reception - he was very nice, friendly, helpful, spoke good English (our Spanish is a disaster). He helped with ordering taxi, I think he was one of the few nice things about the place. And also, I must say it was very clean and beds were comfortable.
When we arrived, the first thing we noticed was the desolate entrance - the bell seemed like someone punched it. First floor and reception is fine but we were on a second floor, and I did not feel safe to be honest. people were coming and going to neighbouring rooms constantly, the noise was high, walls paper thin - you would hear everything, from outside, from inside, it looked like a very poor place.
“a great place”
