“Amazing location and comfortable stay - would book again!”

The best

Location was superb - I could walk around and in and out of the hotel multiple times in a day to my convenience, especially when I needed a break from the summer heat! It was also easy to check-in, and the receptionist was really helpful in assisting with my suitcase up the stairs to my room. The beds were comfortable too. I would definitely stay here again - great value for money.

To be improved

The showers were tiny and the drainage was really poor - when one of us showered, we needed to wait for quite a while before the dirty water went down. I also wish there was hair conditioner in the shower but anyway we made do! Also, I already knew this from the photos and other reviews, but just wanted to emphasise that the room is small, so anything larger than a medium suitcase would probably not be able to open fully on the empty floor space. One of the downsides of being located so centrally would be the noise - at night we could hear the people and vehicles downstairs despite having the windows closed. Didn't affect our sleep though - might be different if you're a very light sleeper.

“I would not stay there twice unfortunately :/”

Location was great. Owner of the property was super caring beforehand.

To be improved

There were too many stairs, A/C was dripping water when its turned off. Toilet seat was not stable and was moving. Shower did not look great therefore we didn’t use. First night of our stay, there was a big mouse sound on the roof (we were staying at the last floor.) when we contacted about this to the owner he said he can’t do anything to the roof. The second night there was no sound.

“Location a few steps from Granada cathedral, close to everything. A superb cheesecake shop around the corner. A very nice lady at the reception. During a heatwave, the room temperature was ok and we only had the AC on for a short while. The mattress also ok. Fine overall, with the typical Spanish hostal vibe. · Cons: Especially the bathroom a little bit in need of repair, I guess it's been there since the 80's. Mind you that if you stay over the weekend, there's party life on the streets and you will hear drunk people shouting until early morning.”

“Pension Mesones, a gem of a hostel !”

The best

This accommodation was extremely convenient in location, well equipped with facilities and great value for money. As someone who wanted to travel to Granada on a budget, Pension Mesones offered the ability to be in the heart of the city, only a couple minutes walk from the cathedral and nestled in the atmosphere of the streets next to Trinidad square. The room had everything you would need, basic but comfortable, clean and with a balcony with street views and good air con. The bathrooms were functional, always available, great showers that were easy to use. Thank you Carlos, for offering a brilliant place to stay in such a beautiful city!

To be improved

There is street noise on a night and morning, to be expected and didn’t bother me but something to note.
