The best

Excellent location if you need or want to be close to Atocha train station. Staff was serious but super correct and attentive; their were always in on around the floor and able to help. They would keep my bags after checkout for a last tour day in Madrid.

To be improved

No elevator; keep it in mind if you are travelling with lots of bags like me.

“Clean, safe, central budget hotel”
The best

This is an excellent budget room in the very center of Madrid just steps from the train station. If you are on a budget, you can't beat this pension. It's clean, very safe, surprisingly quiet and there was a sink in the room. I was welcomed after hours because my train arrived after midnight, and felt welcomed and well taken care of. I would gladly return again. If you are looking for luxury or modern, this is not your place. If you are looking for clean, safe, budget you can't beat this.

There is no elevator. Be prepared.

Other than the staff and the great location (walking distance to the train station), nothing else could be recommended… but I guess that’s the value for the price!
